i haven't done this in a while, looked at a screen and poured my heart out.
how do you say you're lost without admitting the truth?
how do you admit your scared without telling your fears?
and how do you stand without falling down?

if my words cost anything, they'd cost the world.
inside like broken puzzle pieces.
inside floating around like a carousel.
inside, waiting, to be let outside.

i'm working, writing, thinking of a book.
its going to be one people want to read.
highlight, tear out, cry and laugh with.

only, how much truth is too much honesty?
and if you're not alone, then how come there's nobody standing next to you?

what if there were no what ifs and all you had to do was just be?
no expectations. no letting anybody down.
because they'd just let you be too.
allow you to breath your breaths. and make your own stories,
out of mistakes, consequences and those moments of pure joy.


joy is when a child comes to me and smiles back.
joy is when i know exactly who i am.
joy lets me be.
